until I find myself in the City of Lights. For two weeks. Alone.
Although I am a novice, I decided to do a blog about this trip, thinking it might be a good way to keep a travel diary, albeit a public one (hi mom!). I have been compulsively planning and researching for months - it will be fun to compare the plans with what I actually do.
This summer, I was able to plan a vacation out of the Texas heat - I wasn't able to escape last summer, which was the hottest and driest in recorded history. My husband took our son to Norway, I worked and sweated. This year, my husband has to work (sorry, honey!), and I'm taking the kiddo to his wonderful grandparents in Norway. Once he is firmly ensconced, I am popping over to Paris. For two weeks. Alone!
